The “Perrys” train the Ystrad-Fawr Junior and Juveniles Latin American formation teams who have the enviable record of winning more British Championships over the last decade than any dance school in the UK.
Philip Perry is an examiner providing professional training in Ballroom-Latin and Disco-Freestyle. He represents Welsh interests on the British Dance Council and is Chairman of the “Everybody is Born to Dance Committee.” A British council committee with responsibility to encourage and help young people into dance all over the UK.
Philip, Carol, Sean and Kay are all former Amateur Dance Champions in Ballroom and Latin.
Philip and Carol were former Amateur and Professional Dance Champions. Their adult formation teams won Open British Championships and represented both Wales and Great Britain at World Championships and on the BBC’s “Come Dancing” TV series.
The New Cottage dance centre has been the focus of many TV shows, including the Generation Game, Blue Peter as well as dancing for Elton John's 50th Birthday Bash.
